Our Beliefs

About God

We believe that God is the sovereign ruler of the universe existing in three distinct persons, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God. The entire Christian faith is bound together with the confession of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) (Matthew 28:18-20). God created us to have fellowship with Him but we became alienated from Him through sinful disobedience. We are incapable of coming back to a right relationship with God by our own efforts.

About Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the second member of the Trinity, the Son of God, who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the world, (John 1:14; Hebrews 1:3). He is fully God and fully man. We believe that the shed blood of Jeus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. By dying on the cross he offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all who believe in Him. His resurrection demonstrates His power over sin and death.

About The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third member of the Trinity who eternally proceeds from the Father and the Son to give new life (John 15:26-27). The Holy Spirit unites believers to Jesus Christ in faith, brings about new birth and dwells within the redeemed (Ephesians 1:13-14). The Holy Spirit has come to glorify the Son who, in turn, came to glorify the Father. He will lead the Church into a right understanding and rich application of the truth of God's Word. We believe Christians should live for Christ and not for self by yielding to the Spirit through obedience of the word to become mature and conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Bible

We believe that God has made Himself known to His creation. He has revealed Himself to us in His Son, the incarnate Word (Hebrews 1:1-2), in Scripture, the inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16), and in creation (Psalm 8, Romans 1:20). The Bible is God's word to us. It is the surpreme source for truth for all Christian beliefs and living. God's word supersedes all human guidelines. As God's people hear, believe and obey the Word, they are equipped as Disciples of Christ and witnesses to the Gospel (Romans 10:14-17).
